A big part of Career Branding is being generous about sharing your knowledge. But you might have doubts about what people think, about what you know (pssst… we all do, sometimes). 

BUT HEY! Sit up straight! I know you’ve got something valuable to bring to the world because you’re you!

I had big doubts

Having that inner voice going on inside your head is perfectly normal, especially when it comes to doing things that might be outside of your comfort zone. I’m telling you! I had my doubts when I started blogging and sharing my story back in January of 2012.

I had never made a website or blog before, and I didn’t know what I was doing. The day I pressed the publish button for the first time and started feeding my story to Google, I was scared. But my desire to help and to share what I knew was more significant than my fears. My success principle and hope were, that if I could just help one other person by sharing what I knew, then it would be worth doing it.

Pressing the publish button (on my iWeb blog) on January 18th, 2012, set me off on a journey I had never thought possible. It changed the direction of my life completely, and in many ways, it’s been the most rewarding thing I’ve ever done.

I Believe You’ve Got Amazing Things To Share

Now I’m here again, taking another overwhelming, and at times scary, step, building my international platform. This time, my goal is to inspire and help you attract the career you want and deserve. Simply because, when you get to work with the things you’re most passionate about, you’ll be less stressed, have more to give to the people around you, and live a more fulfilled life.

I’ve been there, and I am still there sometimes having doubts, but the experiences I’ve gotten from sharing what I know, first with the Danes and now you, has been one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. Getting the opportunity to meet and interview some amazing people, and I’ve got to do things I wouldn’t have been able to do if I had not shared my knowledge. But best of all, I know I’ve made a difference, sharing my message. And you will too.

I genuinely believe; what you think is obvious to you is amazing to others!

That’s why I urge you to share and contribute to the things you know to the world. If you do it, you’ll begin to attract new people into your network, and with that, new career opportunities will come your way.

It might be overwhelming at first, and I’m not saying you should launch a career website, as the first thing.

LinkedIn would be a GREAT place to start. I’ll suggest you start by engaging in groups and forums, just by contributing to the dialog, with valuable comments.
